Expatriation requests (postings, extension, or continuation of insurance)

The Federal Social Insurance Office (FSIO) provides employers and self-employed persons with an Applicable Legislation Portal Switzerland (ALPS) web portal for dealing with questions of liability.

This portal enables applications to be made for the following:

• short and long-term postings or extension
• multi-employment (salaried or self-employed activities carried out simultaneously in several EU/EFTA member states, with social tax liability in Switzerland)
• continuation of insurance with EU/EFTA member states, contracting states (signatories of a bilateral social security agreement with Switzerland) or non-contracting states.

To access the ALPS web portal, we invite you first to request a CH-LOGIN (see guide) and then to send us (by e-mail) page 4 of the ALPS User Agreement, duly completed and signed.

Upon receipt of the confirmation from our Social Compensation Funds, you will be able to access the ALPS portal.
